comfort

Our inner Calvinism
Terror of our daily life
And everything is just fine
It is raining outside
we cover ourselves with blankets
In our comfort zones
We are watching TV program
Our inner Calvinism
That’s not necessarily something religious
It's just a name we use, a code
For some kind of inner infirmity
For a vague sensation
Of some unfathomable design:
Like a snake attacking a mouse
With a sudden, unforeseen movement
But everything is just fine, really
We say to ourselves
We are in our homes
Stable and secure
Watching TV program
It’s raining outside
While pouring our tea
-a barely perceptible thing-
Our hands are shaking
With fear
